Radiation Decontamination Solutions (RDS) is a nuclear technology solutions company specializing in the decontamination of radioactive surfaces including: commercial, nuclear power plants, homeland security, emergency and first responder applications. RDS solves radiological decontamination problems through the use of our proprietary, patent pending, water based-solutions. Successfully tested by the EPA at Idaho National Labs (8-2011)

In the Nuclear Power arena, we have provided our Transition Metal “Quick Decon” product to: nuclear power generator companies including Nebraska Power, Exelon Corp., Fla. Power and Light, Constellation Energy, First Energy, and Excel Energy.  This product is successfully used to decontaminate the core cavity during an outage. It is also useful in facility service and maintenance.

Since FDA has advised us that our product is acceptable for topical use on intact human skin, we have developed and sold kits to the general public concerned with personal and family safety issues relating to any nuclear event.  RDS is listed in the Responder’s Knowledge Base, a CCR registrant, listed in the GSA, DOE and DOD buyers guides, and also in the “Guide for the Selection of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Decontamination Equipment for Emergency First Responders” published by Department of Homeland Security in March, 2007. 

In the Decon and Decommissioning arena, we have sold our products to Safety and Ecology in Knoxville, Savannah River Site in Aiken, Northrop Grumman in Newport News, NMC in Yorktown, and Duratek in Barnwell, S.C., Varioline in Saudi Arabia, and Chemstruction Systems in Japan.

In the Hospital and Pharmaceutical arena, we have sold our products to hospitals to clean up treatment rooms after I-131 therapy for thyroid cancer.  Our Halogen (Iodowash) product is recommended exclusively by GE Healthcare Nuclear Pharmacies for any radioactive Iodine spills in their facilities.  We have recently developed a RadDecon Kit for Nuclear Pharmacies which contain all three of our Ion Specific Solutions, since they work with and may have spills of Iodine (halogen), Thallium (Transition Metal), and Technetium (Actinide). King Abdulaziz city for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia uses our products. We have also been recommended, by Dr. Carol Marcus in the DHS funded manual for L.A. county entitled “Medical Management of Radiocontaminated Patients” page 13, as the only product to use if soap and water isn’t effective as an application on topical human decontamination.
